financial review is cheaper here too

Hi all,

Well, I must admit I was a wee bit peeved and concerned when I touched down in Saigon last Friday.

About what? Well, I have been getting a great laugh out of seeing ALL OF AUSTRALIA's most BRILLIANT FINANCIAL EXPERTS AND GURU'S doing BACKFLIPS and being BI-POLAR in their individualistic and BACK-FLIPPING States-Of-Minds over the past 3 months or so. And I have only been buying the Fin Review daily for the past 6 months (only need to skim-read it) just so I have some HARD EVIDENCE for my schrap booking to PROVE, beyond any shadow-of-a-doubt, that EXPERTS actually are just indeed as wishy-washy and bribeable and unknowledgeable and just as jelly-backed as ALL POLITICIANS.

And, you wouldn't believe it. WHilst I was sucking back a few San Mig's yesterday at the Red GEcko bar in downtown Saigon ($2 a throw - and a delightful brew - truly) a street side/walking salesman, delightful bloke too, came up and offered me last weekends Fin. Review for 40,000 Veit Dong! Of course I haggled him down to 30,000 (at todays exchange rate $2.47 aud), so again, it is even cheaper for the Australian Finance Review when living as an ex-pat in Viet Nam.

Life is Good.

AND, I sorted it with old mate yesterday, to have it delivered to my doorstep every Sunday morn for the same price :-)

Viet Nam......bewdiful one day.

Perfect the next.

Why would one body choose to live any where else?
