You and I are by far the 2 most bullish people on future EV numbers, by a country mile, and yes like you I think my guesses could be far less than what actually happens.

One of the Experts at the IMARC conference, gave evidence and good reasoning why by 2023, the mass production of the equivalent EV will be cheaper than it's ICE cousin, so manufacturers are going to either start getting larger margins on EVs than ICEs or charge cheaper prices, or a combination of both. If there are carrots and sticks around, then the odds will favour an avalanche towards EVs by 2023, if this expert was correct.
It is possible in those 6-7 short years, the ICEs are selling only because there long waiting lists for EVs. It is something I can definitely see happening.
