Question is what is a market-based pricing mechanism? ATM it is China but if China is locked out then what? I can't see China being allowed to cut the throats of their local producers (with under the table kick backs as compensation) to artificially distort the pricing mechanism to send ex-china producers broke.
If ex-china AAM producers want the graphite, the miners need to be able to pay the workforce or they won't get any so their business goes bust.
