Over many years of investing (and getting burned by actions of various companies' management) I used to keep a "hit list" of shonky directors to avoid in future, just in case they ever showed up at other companies I might invest in. Unfortunately the list grew too long to be practical ! Many of them are only interested in keeping the gravy train going, $$$ in their own pockets, and will do and say anything to that end.
