I don't know for certain, but I think the pilot plant is for a a few reasons:

- To optimise production and processing conditions for microbial cellulose (whatever that means - I think it means just to reach an economy of scale)

- To demonstrate it can be done at scale (companies will be producing heaps of this stuff and we need to show them that they can do it at a large enough scale that is efficient and can work for those companies)

- To generate data about costs so we can approach companies and tell them how much it will cost and therefore they will know how much money they will save (I emailed Michael Willis previously and asked if he had any info about costs [especially relative to other costs of production] and he said NC6 was working on it. This is probably what he meant).

The AGM presentation on slide 13 refers to a "30m x 50m factory floor holds 60 x 50kL tanks - Estimated 45 tons of cellulose per month." It's unclear whether that is the specs of the pilot plant they are establishing or not.

On a side note, I'd encourage anyone that is interested and has a reasonable question to contact Michael Willis at NC6. It would be appreciated if you could share any new info on this forum however.

Hopefully there will be some people from this forum attending the AGM (I live in Canberra and can't be bothered) who can share some info from the AGM on this forum.

This is still a "hold" for me until more info is provided about where we are at with the MOUs and contracts which may be forthcoming at the AGM. I'm still also skeptical of an impending dilution or shares as a result of more shares coming onto the market.
