Kicking the can down the road as some alluded to - DD hasn't yet completed hence don't know what the outcome will be - may yet walk away but then if the deal is considered to be a good one then it may materialize. Management seems very positive perhaps a bit over enthusiastic or over ambitious but as holders we hope that they know what they are up against and see opportunity and if good enough seize it - not just for the sake of keeping the lights on.
With some better macro environment and a new majority holder the current CR appears to be too good to pass and once it trades if one were to offload one should see a positive return. Suspect that as is usually the case, there will be short term profit takers and will be prior to any DD finalization.
Market reaction to any potential deal has thus far been anything but positive. Perhaps Goro is seen as a no-go but this may change once details come forth.
If Goro is acquired I suspect any idea of a dividend from NCZ will be kicked down the road - lets hope the growth will compensate for that and that soon we'll see that gold coin value.
Perhaps management doesn't just want to 'risk it for the biscuit' but are after the factory. All the best.
