It's just the FDA's rule set mate. 6 months for a Class 2 review (i.e. anything that's not covered by a Class1 review). As frustrating as it is to us, could you imagine the allegations of favoritism and corruption if the FDA applied different timelines to different reviews purely based on 'common sense'! The FDA are a government bureaucracy - they're not in business to make money!
