Ann: Nearmap made aware of complaint in US District Court (Utah), page-133

GAF and Nearmap have a close relationship (see https://au-navig8.nearmap.com/watch/sj1KBc5VrKqe1uD2aocwa9). I would not be surprised if GAF's QuickMeasure is just a client-side wrapper around Nearmap generated roof geometry. (So client orders a report in QuickMeasure, gets handed off to Nearmap for annotation on mesh, and then back to GAF to be prettied up and turned into a report). Does anyone know?

In which case this is all really part of the same lawsuit. Either way, if GAF loses its patent fight, this would drain Nearmap of revenue even if Nearmap won its dispute. May well be that a court rules that Nearmap is fine to make measurements on 3D mesh but GAF cannot produce roof reports from them in the way they currently do.
