Important to note that the reports are not currently automated, though I am sure Nearmap is working on that. Nearmap uses 3D mesh and annotation techology purchased from pushpin to farm the work of labelling 3D mesh to humans. Given the growth in this part of the business it appears the accuracy and turnaround times are acceptable for clients.

Given the relative youth of its roof annotation business, I would guess Nearmap also has a fair bit of room for improvement as well in terms of accuracy and costs, with partial or full automation on the cards down the line. This does not bode well for Eagleview. This is probably the real reason Eagleview is suing, imho.
