As a general comment, I would prefer companies release financial reports after hours on a Friday (as championed by Warren Buffett) so that analysts and investors can go through the report in a timely manner over the weekend.
To me- it makes more sense than trying to quickly decipher things 30min before opening. It's a general observation and I have no idea why it's not a rule. Release after hours the day before. It gives everyone an equal chance to go through it.
Anyhow, focusing on this particular situation. It does come across as bullish to bring forward the results to Monday. Makes sense to respond to the report AND to release the numbers. After all- the proof for all of us is in the numbers.
