Perhaps another way to look at it - what do you get back from investing in the SPP?
If the company makes 10% on its investment, the $15k max you can invest comes back as $1500 gross profit. If it results in recurring customers, the benefit is ongoing for the duration of their renewals.
It's got to be a good thing, yes? Certainly better than handing your money to an insto making profits.
