The company that did the study for Mt Remarkable quotes the LCOE costs per kw @ 19.5 cents over 15 years for 10 MW system at a cost of $21 million to put things in prospective if you installed 30 MW like the mine needs the capital cost would be $63 million and like you said only produce for 7.6 hrs per day. Then the cost of wind generation like your plan which has a even higher capital intensity cost per MW plus the need to still have the capital costs of a 30 MW diesel power station when there is neither sunlight or wind plus the need to manage load swings when starting ball mills and sag mill etc...being green is all well and good but 27 cents is cheap in the end
