Sorry to be a bit didactic but the red stars are where the holes plot on Google Earth (+-a couple of hundred metres - see images in my post above). Not certain why there are discrepancies - certainly seem to be some though the prospects are well on DRE held land which is the important issue.

Laurence's Find (Lawrence?) Au location may shift as well but your observation about gold connection could still be valid though IMO unlikely for a Bottle Creek analogy. Two reasons Bottle Creek is long and linear; the targets drilled by DRE are well defined magnetic ones that do not extend towards LF.
There are a huge amount of data available on this area in the open file system of the GSWA/Wamex. A rectangular search yielded 408 files dating from the mid 1960s including many well credentialed companies. Needless to say I won't go through them all with DRE having gone through that process and more as reported in 3 open file reports in 2021 related to statutory partial surrender of ground acquired from Newmont.

These 3 reports are essentially the same with minor variations for specific tenements. They include some of the rationale for acquiring these tenements based on soil geochem. Drilling by past operators does not appear to have been very encouraging but DRE may get to ride on the shoulders of these past workers. For those interested check out the review in this PDF.

These maps are one of the reason DRE became interested in Illaara. More detail in the report.

Some of the places mentioned in the announcement to give a spatial reference.
Bottle Creek Au, and Teutonic Bore (mined out in the 1980s)/Bentley/Jaguar VMS.

Full on Yilgarn including Golden Grove some 300 Km WNW of Illaara. There are several other 'greenstone' belts between these that have 'sniffs' of VMS deposits.
