Let me tell you guys a little story.

Firstly i know who the sheltered ones are and it ain't chandler.

Where i work we have had preferred contractors for a number of years now and more often than not this situation found it's origins from the fact that lazy management wanted to make life easier for themselves.

As time went on things became cosier between the parties ie. golf trips, invites to functions, free tickets, holidays (junkets) and the business side of the relationship went slack ie. poor performance, workmanship, costs etc.

Then up popped the GFC and all hell broke loose.

Upper management were made to put a microscope to costs and guess what, yes, we were not getting the service we were paying for.

In other words we were being ripped off.

Suffice to say these contracts are now being canned or wound back and our own people are now filling the void.

That's reality guys.

Moral to that story.

When you live in a fools paradise you don't know any different.
