Another major point that you have alluded to (without mentioning names like ALF, CDM FOR and GC1), like I have (tic) is that profits are made not only by rising stocks, but also by avoiding bad ones and by reducing exposure to those companies with the potential to go to zero, Michael with Axcess ? CDM with ARQ, FOR with his very small illiquid stocks where Steve is hoping for a turnaround and for JB and ALF, by just about shorting everything in a historical rising market.Michael has some good little picks in hIs latest portfolio, I guess Karl has in CDM and Steve with FOR. JB probably has many but has corrupted them with the quantity of shorts.your last statement is particularly relevant regarding a low interest rate environment . I refer to the banks and how they have been on the nose ! CBA would have been an absolute winner with very little risk and a good dividend !
