As regards unlocking the discount and realising the gains, wouldn't he just turn it into an open ended fund and eliminate the discount ? - the question is why would he be in a rush to do that? - looks like he's very comfortable looking longer term and run the admin as a sleepy quaint plaything?
as short term suffering shareholders, we need to figure out how to unlock some value??
at least on the investment front he seems active enough and has sharpened the top 5's for both listed and unlisted exposures and seemingly (I haven't had time to crunch the numbers) managed to reduce the huge bets on CXL and updater ( from 13.4% and 6.9% a year ago to 5.8% and 1.7%)
Month end discount btw is a scarcely believable 45% after tax (and even 34% pre tax)
As regards unlocking some value, i must see if I can buy a few moreand think about my enthusiasm for it to be open oeded @ the betashares range with shares trading at NAV
