Purely from a historical chart perspective, I'd say 10,000 is a real possibility. We've spent the past 10 years trading sideways(XAO) and throughout the past 100 years or so there has never been a period of much more than 10 years trading sideways before a significant rally. If we took the period from around 1980 - 1987 and thought about a repeat of that rise from here we'd be around 20,000 in 7 or 8 years time. Certainly not saying that will happen, just showing what's happened in the past to gain some idea of what's possible.
