Well I appreciate everyone's comments and I think I misunderstood Stuart's announcement when he suggested that his early returns were close to 1% a day. However, in saying that, I think that everyone can agree that it was an easy mistake to make, given his previous success with his other investment vehicles that @PeteWisdom has kindly provided the accurate figures for.
I know of plenty of professional traders in the industry who achieve consistently high returns in the currency/commodity/futures markets, but who are also subject to huge losses at times- that is the nature of trading, where price movements can gap through stop losses, and leverage exacerbates returns both to the up and downside.
FWIW, the proceeds of my BHDO have gone into BIG.AX, a stocks that's done me phenomenally well and whose expected return over the next 12 months is greater in my mind than BHDO
