I have already written to the Office of the Attorney General about this. Their position is that generally they will not rescind an Order of Australia award unless the recipient is convicted of a crime.
However the Attorney General can exercise discretion in this regard when appropriate and has done so in the past. Might be time to write a follow up letter highlighting some of the new events that have transpired.
The other thing to keep in mind is that the political connections that helped him "earn" that award in the first place will undoubtedly use their influence to help him keep it.
