LSF has traded at a 15-20% discount to NTA for years, and it still does today. The fund managers have chucked large sums of their own cash at this however the discount continues. The unhappy fact is that ETFs have eaten the LICs’ lunch and that is not going to change until LICs start outperforming the Market Indexes. Less than 15% of fund managers can beat the Index, so the funds are great for them but not for investors.
Despite all the above recent performance has been quite good so there is hope.
