There is seldom a right time to sell, whether it be property or shares and In Retrospect one will always contemplate that they could have got a better price. However I must have more confidence in the guys at SEC because I would not have even contemplated that the SP would have gone much below 2.50 and certainly not $2.40. Maybe my confidence is misplaced, but of course your decision must be made in light of the need to have the available readies to make your other purchase. It’s not often that the time to sell comes at a good time. $160k ? Good price for that sort of location depending on the size of the block. I was in Adelaide in 82 and you could buy a unit in Unley for about $20k ! Always regretted not buying there. SEC is a long term hold for me because the managers are value investors, and that type of strategy may not always be the flavour of the month, but will never not be effective overall. Add the more than reasonable divvy, and at the moment anyway, it’s producing the goods. With the market volatility at the moment and the wild swings, a stable handle at the tiller will be even more valuable. I have topped up on PNI, so SEC will benefit them. @thecapitalist.
