Today was unusual, I agree, but on October 21st, 2022, the share price of KKC dropped 5% at the open on relatively heavy volume for no obvious reason. The share price immediately started to recover and did so steadily all day to close up 11% on the previous day's close!
Despite all of the academic research, the stock market is not efficient.
