The people selling won't be better off, they lose confidence and sell. By stacking the sell side the price can be slowly manipulated down while they collect on the bid side. Then once the 2+ days expires for trade settlement, the sells thin out and the price moves up till they start selling into it. Seen it so much over the years, hence my comment.
