This story is not meant to directly attack any party either way, it is simply me telling my NET story so that if any others are in the same position, they might do the same.
I owned shares in NET, I bought at $0.16 and was believer in their software and it's potential. However this was largely based off the info NET was putting out rather than my own research. Talking about VPNs in China and expanding to Japan and India etc. Anyways, after I bought they did 3 capital raisings in the space of 8 months.
I continued to hold because 2020 was the year they would start making revenue! To be fair to NET, they did. From memory thye made about A$17M but my shares were heavily diluted in the process.
My shares had fallen to about $0.04 (-75%) with no sign of the company continuing to expand on their growth. I wanted to continue to believe and it's hard to sell something 75% down. A more months went by and I was battling the urge to sell, coming on hot copper and reading what others had to say, most of which was nonsense.
I finally decided to sell and put the money elsewhere in a company that I can trust that I understand a lot better. Since that time this investment has gone up ~30%.
Six months later I check on NET (today) for the first time. It is down ~35% again from where I sold it. I come on hot copper and it's again the same old stuff with NETs guidance for 2021 being on par (or even less) than 2020.
So, to wrap up, if you're constantly fighting the urge to sell because you're down a big % or you think NET will suddenly turn into a well run company, I hope my story can provide some light!
thanks
