Flashyboy I won't ruin your weekend this time. All I can gather so far is that PT &T started to take orders yesterday and that interest interest is strong. That's hardly surprising as the Philippines is about as ideal as it gets for Starlink. It is a country of islands so demand for the marine unit should be solid, but perhaps the underlying issue is redundancy of existing infrastructure. Like NZ there have been very destructive typhoons and floods in recent years so that is a factor as well as the terrain.
One interesting fact I've just picked up is that PT&T is largely owned by a Filipino tycoon called Salvador Zamora, who owns Nickel Asia and various other mining ventures as well as resorts. Once he took over money went into new fibre optic infrastructure in Manila and two other telco regions. Last year he bought a group of copper-gold mines for around $400m. One of his things is social housing.
