I've posted something similar in the past few days, but I've not lost any confidence in RT despite his hiccup at the AGM.
It's patently obvious to me that NEU is playing the long game and the short term ups and downs, while disappointing and sometimes painful, have not been a priority for our BOD.
There are three main reasons I say this:
1. The deal with Acadia was heavily back-ended and substantially in our favor if trofinetide gets past phase 3 as NEU believes it will.
2. There is a fundamental belief in the company that NNZ-2591 will perform better than trofinetide.
3. Yet, there has not been the urgency one might have expected in getting NNZ-2591 into the necessary trials.
I'd been confused as to why trofinetide was postioned well behind NNZ-2591 considering point 2. It is now pretty clear that NEU could be extracting revenue in the billions from trofinetide that mightn't have existed if NNZ-2591 had gone first.
We're not necessarily privy to the tactics being employed by RT and his team, but, if what I've suggested above is correct, then what has played out, makes a lot of sense long-term.
