It seems that there is a lot of global attention and research relating to a defect in the Shank 3 gene.
From @hottod 's post:
"And because it is caused by a defect in the Shank 3 gene, Phelan McDermid syndrome is of great interest to autism researchers."

During the AGM video Jon discusses that they did a lot more research of PMS and he talks to the results on these two slides:
So I think NEU purposely selected the PMS as the first trial as it sets the scene for the other NNZ-2591 trials.
So we need the results this week to come out positive IMHO.
If successful, then I think a lot of attention will focus down on NEU and NNZ-2591 for autism which has many different forms.
