To my layman's eye the MBA change index results are a no brainer that this has a measurable effect. From what I see the CSS change index is based on less specific indicators of efficacy than the MBA index, and I can see how they might not indicate much difference to placebo. Have a look at the list of items in the right column.
The MBA results start returning to the placebo group at day 26 when the treatment finishes. What am I missing? Other than it was a debacle for the share price when it got knocked back, I would be inclined to assume this was a "breakthrough therapy". If my daughter was needing it I would be pretty annoyed waiting for FDA statistical analysis to catch up.
