This is not the first time NEU's sp/mc has been compared on this forum with that of OPT. Even the MST Access analyst uses OPT as a comparison to support her view that NEU is undervalued.
Personally, I don't think this is an "apples with apples" comparison.
I've compiled a chart below which compares the two companies on a number of points. The final row, imo, is particularly relevant to the recent sp rise in OPT v NEU.
