Considering the Method of Action may be similar, I'm sure it is. That suggests the announcement to show that work, is not far off. [pending patent clarification]
Would the FDA also want to see previous work done on Animal and Human cancers along with Antiviral ? Possibly, even though the IND is for ALS. That could account for there being 17,000 pages. No idea to be honest.
I'm also curious to know why this IND may be slightly different ? No doubt they are all individual and contain info relevant to only that drug, but the comment suggests something broader.
