Article in AFR by Alumina boss is concerned that if Australia dosnt have access to competitively priced fossil fuel 24/7 back up energy we run the risk of being deindustrialised. The biggest battery in Australia can only power HALF of Aluminas Portland plant for just 1 hour. Plans for Australia's energy transition threaten to create immense uncertainty on the availability and cost of future energy supplies.
In a different media outlet
Reknowned financial journalist Ross Greenwood stated that the Govts 2030 zero emissions policy is not going to make it also the Govt will NOT be able to close coal fired power stations as the infrastructure is nowhere near ready.
Only a matter of time before the Govt buckles on this
