Australia defense may give extra bonus points in tenders to aussie companies and may pay over the odds so that it has independent supply but honestly if A3D really wants to ensure getting a result later on it should partner with whoever is supplying other drone componentry as they are set up to do defense tenders , have a decent balance sheet and ensure business continuity and ability to supply by holding enough stock of turbines etc etc or powder to produce such .
Going to be a very interesting future when / if printing is competitive as it does change logistics however as EU and US are finding out in trying to supply Ukraine it is very hard to quickly and economically increase production at scale .
So in the end what is A3D competitive advantage in method, powder design , energy efficiency, speed accuracy or IP that will enable it to get to scale so it can have enough distributed or centralised printing machines to enable it to actually supply any contract at scale. What external providers doe sit require that it can bring inside the tent to be a complete component supplier and retain its IP. Just what is the plan.
