Maier1 & Jens Gutzmer 2,4 &Joachim Krause" (received 2015, published 2017) I have referenced many times recently as standout research into the nature and mineralisation associated with the regionally extensive Jameson Intrusion. Some quotes to remind you of how well understood they are;
"The Jameson Range hosts several of thesemagnetitites forming laterally extensive layers, which can betraced for at least 19 km as continuous magnetic anomalies."
"The basal magnetite layer in the Jameson Range is markedly enriched in PGE with up to 2 ppm Pt + Pd + Au and0.3 wt% Cu representing a Stella-type PGE reef with further potential for significant Ti-V mineralisation."

Detailed more work on the three mafic-hosted, magnetite-related prospects called Jameson (now Dante), Navigator and Latitude Hill occur in the most evolved, upper parts of the 1078 Ma layered intrusions belonging to the Giles Complex. Interesting quotes include:
Magnetite-related, reef-type Cu-PGE deposits share similar characteristics, including: (1) they occur in the evolved, upper portions of layered mafic intrusions where they are associated with thin magnetitite layers or thicker magnetite-rich lithologies; (2) they lack a significant ultramafic component; (3) they have a very low sulfide modal abundance through the mineralized zone; (4) they have a very high precious metal concentration for the very low volume of sulfides in the mineralized zones; and (5) the PGE mineralized zone is associated with, or offset from, a Cu-rich and Fe-poor sulfide assemblage with a high Cu to Ni ratio (Prendergast, 2000, Miller and Andersen, 2002, Maier, 2005, Holwell and Keays, 2014). In addition to the above, these deposits are generally low grade and none have yet proven to be economically exploitable.
The Jameson and Navigator prospects comprise Cu-rich sulfides and anomalous Cu-PGE concentrations which is similar to most other magnetite-related, reef-type Cu-PGE deposits
You should be getting the gist by now, these are pretty well studied and understood Cu-PGE Ti-Mag reefs in the traditional layered cumulate intrusion fashion, with their own subtle variations. One of the features of this style of cumulate reef is that they form over many kilometres and the chemistry of the reefs are typically very similar within each individual layer (ie along strike and down dip). That's not to say that grade and thickness may not increase in places, but read the papers and you'll understand why the chemistry plots etc is so important to the study and interp of these things... All the papers I read were very confident in the continuity of magnetitite reefs over large distances, and that their specific chemistries could be explained in a model of bottom to top magmatic differentiation.
Getting all too technical sorry, my point here is that any first-year graduate can grasp the concept and implications of consistent mineralogy and mineralisation over very large distances, so that one hole here can tell you a LOT about the same magnetite layer over a long strike. Did Thomas understand this geological feature whn ignoring TMD002 and the other holes drilled outside the Dante tenements but very much informative to the reefs inside Dante's tenements as did all the papers studying them?
Yes he did. On t6he 16th May he put out on youtube a * advertorial (Terra Metals (ASX:TM1) MD Interview with * TV) where ecitedly discussed TM1 exploration success with the first 3 drill holes into Crius Reef hitting "high grade magmatic sulphide mineralisation, with a combination of copper and precious metals bla bla".... The hot reporter exclaims "Wow... what does this tell you about the overall prospectivity of the system?"
TL replies, "The beautiful thing about reefs, is that when you get onto them, they seem to go forever... slight exaggeration, they for a very, very long way"
hang on, did he basically just say that once you get a few holes into these reefs, you can expect to see those sort of results extend for many kilometres, like WMD005 diamond drill hit on Crius just north of the Dante tenement? Yes he did... and if I could be bothered copying in the summary of all the market releases since 29th Aug'23, you would see a cynical trend of "PGE-Au Reef Targets" slowly morph into rock chip PGE-Au and Cu targets, and finally talk of copper potential as the driling program was about to commence in early 2024...
My favourite is still the 13th May youtube video where he was so surprised to hit magmatic copper mineralisation in the titanomagnetitie reefs, felt the need to rush out in a plane and see for himself... and that's how you create sizzle about a new discovery from an old project my friends
