For example @Hiro, why did Thomas drill that section with old WMC holes first? No surprise if you dig, it was probably the largest 'thickening' of the basal reef along Cronus and thus an obvious target to see how thick (good) it can get.

Here it is mapped in plan... looks like both a double-up of the reef into two layers, plus a thickening compared to along strike. The reason it thickens at surface is because the basal reef dip shallows to 15 near surface, then steepens to still just 20 deg between holes URC002 & 3. The shallower the dip the wider it is cut horizonatlly by the surface, and shallow is good for lowering the strip. That is to be clear, why the thickest and potentially stacked reef here was of so much interest to explorers. Unfortunately, the apparently western stacked reef turned out to be the lower grade HW **bronorite...

If the thickest, lowest dipping, shallowest oxidised reefs have been targeted for first pass drilling, it does rather beg the question what the skinny, steeper (eg 40 deg dip) and/or deeper weathered reefs will return when/if drilled?
