Distance to port transport costs is a dollar per tonne cost, with only modest cost variation between different products being transported. A copper concentrate grading 25% Cu is worth roughly 95% of the contained copper, say $2,375/t at $10k/t copper price. Nickel con for Babel-Nebo is about half the grade compared to Cu in con and lower payability but higher biprod credits, so say even poor Ni con is also worth $2,375/t. Transport costs for Cu & Ni con to international markets was estimated in Cassini's 2020 PFS at $221/t shipped from the port of Esperance (<10% con value), or $98/t to Kalgoorlie nickel smelter (<5% con value)...



The LT price forecast of <50% TiO2 ilmenite is ~US$220/t 2024 real, or Ti-V-Magnetite feedstock ~US$100/t verses the transport costs of ~US$90/t 2024 real. I would guess cost inflation in WA since Feb 2020 pre-covid has gone up conservatively ~30%. Transport costs as a percentage of product revenue is the critical metric...
