"There is no revenue or quantitative figure tied to a Patent... " that's why they can announce it without getting into trouble.

Consideration A:
All contracts signed at R&D stage would be wishy-washy on forward projected revenues.
But, announcing contracts with exciting brands (like Apple, ABB, Samsung, Mercedes, Ford, etc.) when its impossible to guarantee they will launch a product resulting from R&D would (in my opinion) be seen as misleading the retail market.

Contracts at this stage would likley be of the form "BRN will provide technical support at peppercorn rate, if company X commits to only using our IP in the target future product. Such IP will incur license fee of X$ per unit for first 5,000 units, $X per unit for..." or something like that.

Consideration B:
However, as has been pointed out ad nauseam, technology companies don't allow tech providers to disclose what R&D or product development they are working on, and certainly not what technology they are investigating to make it work.

A + B means that BRN can' tell us nuffink about their potential revenue sources.

You can bellow all you like about "being tired of that old excuse" and "we've heard it all before" but the facts don't change.

BRN is not making the rules on this. ASX and BRN customers are.
And tech providers providing OEM technology (like Megachips, ARM, TSMC etc.) all operate in this trade secrecy vacuum.
