I'd also suggest it's been in the making for some time - its not an appointment you would normally make over night. Maybe it was to do with Max seeing through to the cap raise and then replaced so it appeared to investors stability was not an issue. Surely you'd think it was 6 months in the making. As to the rationale, yes, it wouldn't have hurt to have an explanation footnote as to why Max has left, as it seemed he was doing a semi reasonable job to reshape the once carcass of a company into something of value...But yes, more options, more promises, more everything...
