hasn't the business always been "focused on commercialisation" for years? If not, then we've been lied to by management. Now we are looking to take on some new salesman to try to generate commercial sales after "completing significant research"
This is the bit that needs a little clarification imho..
It seems to me they are putting their head of commercialisation, Neil, who is ‘the head of how to use graphene in a commercialised setting’..
For me the appointment is they have put someone on ground level to show what and how that graphene will work in the environment that a customer would want to use it.. this connection is probably the only part missing from the research to the practicality of graphene usage..
If someone said to me I can use graphene to make my stuff stronger, great... but how and why.. Neil had that knowledge and can provide practical experience in making that happen.. if you wanted to know about graphene in polymers, you would talk to FGR, but they would probably take you to newgen to get a better understanding of how.. to me that’s what is happening.
I recon Mike Bell has seen a disconnect from the practical to the theoretical and is trying to fill that gap.. I’m interested to see how that goes.
