An interesting data point on Chinese import data for H1, 2019, suggests nearly 166 million tons of infant formula was imported representing 24% year on year growth. JAT is clearly part of that growth story.

JAT did not make the market scale list of Chinese IF consumption for 2018, but that is hardly surprising as JAT was just setting up distribution links, and developing and promoting products via JV’s in the main. To make the market scale list JAT needs to sell over 1B RMB of products, or 300m RMB (62m AUD give or take) as a single product line (e.g .Nurio) to make the high performing product list. If we make the list in 2019, or 2020, then we will definitely be noticed by the big boys.
