While this is a positive development, I have a couple of reservations.
1) the total resource size is impressive, and the total metal content. But throughput per annum is what matters: a big 5mt plant could produce, at 95% recovery, a maximum of 570t cobalt p/a. This of course is nothing to sneeze at, especially when cobalt prices break $100K.
2) COB's pyrite process is tested with an ore of 800-1000ppm Co. I would want to see a rerun at Kalkaroo's 120ppm (which is the level of the residue at the calcine stage!) to see if it stands up.
