Flippers ... They make some and they lose some but on average are doing well if they cover their brokerage over a period.
Long term is where the big money is and can make you seriously wealthy. Getting in cheap is not just luck as others have stated on here, but comes down to investing a lot of time into research. Yes, good and bad luck is part of it but its the research that enables you to identify the opportunities and gives you the edge and the confidence to hold.
