Just a point to consider- who owns the Rose of Denmark? If my memory serves me correctly it was a part of the Shandong(?) deal and at least 3 of the 4 million was paid to MCO. I think the ownership was transferred by a percentage going to Shandong with each payment.
The Rose is a better bet than the Star imo but still needs a swag of cash to drill and develop. I have been in there and MCO went around the section that was blown up when abandoned in 1918 and the big chamber holding the headframe was about 400m into the side of the hill. Huge boilers still in there, was like a museum as oldtimers just downed tools and left, blowing the shaft on the way out to stop 'looters'.
This is as I remember the situation but possibly the passage of time has dimmed my recollections.
