Whatever it is it will get repelled eventually. Australia is ahead of the curve when it comes to that stuff. You can thank Wayne Swan and K Rudd for introducing A similar Minerals Resource Rent Tax (MRRT) to Australia almost a decade ago. It was repelled by the next goverment in power. The only thing that remains is the petroleum resource tax in Australia. Which we don't get much revenue out of but we keep it anyway to make it seem we are doing something towards the Paris Accord.
The same will happen to Chile. You pull enough feathers from the golden goose... Your tax revenue will suffer eventually.
