It’s highly naive to think a blanket ban on advertising on gambling would help those who the moral crusade are saying can’t act like adults and take responsibility for their actions. It actually would make things worse.
Why?
Because it’s impossible to stop the offshore unregulated entities from advertising online, they are out of reach of Australian law. These very same entities have no regulator, no responsible gambling obligations nor make any financial contribution to the government, racing or sporting bodies in Australia.
