While I have no personal opinion of the directors, so far they have produced squat in three 3, except devalue the company to almost nothing. It only has a few million market cap as it has "billions" of shares on issue. Not even recent pump and dump's have worked anymore.
As for iron ore, small producers cannot compete with RIO, BHP and FMG. Iron ore is a depreciating product and requires massive scale to remain competitive. The best they could hope for is a take over.
As for the chinese yes they are investing in small firms, but to get insider info on pricing/costs for negotiation. The Japanese have done the sam thing for decades.
