    Critical Resources extends high-grade base metal discoveries at Halls Peak

    “Hole 14 represents the detection of a new area of mineralisation that has not previously been explored at our Gibsons prospect," says MD Alex Biggs.

    Critical Resources Ltd -

    Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR) has further extended high-grade base metal mineralisation with results from another drill hole at Gibsons prospect within the Halls Peak Project in NSW.

    A diamond drill hole – Hole 14 – has intersected zinc, lead, copper and silver-bearing zones of sulphide mineralisation within a previously untested, north-eastern area at the prospect.

    Northern expansion

    In contrast with previous drilling, Hole 14 was drilled in a northerly direction, uncovering further mineralisation that has delivered significant results.

    Attention is now being paid to this northern area in the hope that the company can further extend and understand the potential of this new area.

    CRR’s confidence in the scale potential of the Halls Peak system grows by the day and the new results will provide further impetus for an expanded drill campaign.

    Polymetallic highlights

    Results from Hole 14 include:

    • 26.7 metres at 3.43% zinc, 1.93% lead and 10.79 g/t silver, from 75.3 metres downhole including 7.2 metres at 9.02% zinc, 5.25% lead and 23.56 g/t silver from 75.3 metres;
    • 5.5 metres at 6.74% zinc, 6.06% lead and 135.78 g/t silver from 141.4 metres, including 2.33 metres at 9.22% zinc, 9.86% lead and 168.56 g/t silver from 141.4 metres;
    • 2.95 metres at 15.28% zinc, 9.22% lead, 2.01% copper and 300.91 g/t silver from 172.86 metres, including 1.22 metres at 25.40% zinc, 15.50% lead, 3.46% copper and 394 g/t silver from 173.84 metres downhole; and
    • 4 metres at 3.14% zinc, 2% lead, 610.50 g/t silver and 2.36 g/t gold from 261.5 metres.

    “Highly anomalous gold”

    The company also found “highly anomalous gold” from 248 to 267.5 metres downhole including a significant gold grade of 4.42 g/t gold over 2 metres from 261.50 metres downhole.

    Hole 14 represents a previously undrilled area, northeast of all drilling to date.

    Strong mineralisation at depth continues to expand the potential of the Halls Peak System.

    Core from completed holes 15, 16 and 17 is being assayed at the ALS laboratory in Brisbane with results expected to roll out in coming weeks.

    Next up, Sunnyside

    Critical Resources managing director Alex Biggs said: “Hole 14 represents the detection of a new area of mineralisation that has not previously been explored at our Gibsons prospect.

    “We are consistently finding these new areas of mineralisation at depth and along strike that further adds to the potential scale of the Halls Peak system.

    “The highly successful drill program at Gibsons, combined with previous exploration and geophysical survey work warrants the expansion of our current 5,000-metre drilling program.

    “We are excited to soon commence drilling at our Sunnyside prospect that was home to old-time small-scale, high-grade mine workings.

    “The Sunnyside prospect is 1.5 kilometres north-west of Gibsons. This will further add to the scale potential of Halls Peak system as a whole.”
