They only spent $1,065,000 on exploration last quarter, but will increase this to $1.6 million this quarter. With the cash on hand perhaps they could accelerate the exploration a bit more. If they prove up a 1.2 million resource the share price will go north of 90 cents and a further capital raising for $20m would be easily achievable at a good price down the track when exploration funds are next needed.
They seem to be taking a cautious approach at present. Perhaps there will be an acceleration in the subsequent two quarters.
PIR was listed in The Australian as one of the 100 potential star performers for 2011.
Does anybody know when the rainy season starts and ends in west Africa and leads to a cessation of exploration?
