Our patience in GBR may yet be rewarded by a wider boom in junior explorer share prices. I think AP and the board are counting on this, just as they have been secretly hoping to be acquired for most of the last two years.
The frustration is that they could have made this outcome more likely, and at a higher price, by actually advancing the company beyond pure-play explorer towards developer/viable producer.
In the meantime, maybe we benefit from a rising tide lifting all boats. Perhaps the scoping study is going to be a tipping point. But can we really have much confidence that the board and management team has the skillset to move GBR towards developer status.
It has been such a frustrating investment and a lesson that explorers need to do more than drill to make things happen, unless they uncover a spectacular resource.
