I have a similar story when the mining engineer boss sent a surveyor to supervise and sample cuttings from an auger rig testing tailings for gold...cant comment on the veracity of sampling, but he missed a fairly obvious pattern that could have helped double the feedstock grade.

my gut feel is AZYs next big challenge will be to deal with the offers that will start to come in. Newmont will want the lot.
