Halite bodies have very high near surface permeability, meaning you can drill a hole in the ground and it will fill up from the surrounding areas due to the surface sediment being very porous. By not drilling that deep it allowed for AGY to spend more money on developing ponds, pilot plant, pumps, infrastructure etc. But you need to make that very clear because most investors don't take the time to research anything.
